Isn't the Vegetarian or Vegan diet the healthiest way to eat?
According to some very reputable experts, including Dr. Lorraine Day (www.drday.com), yes. However, there's more. Unlike plant eating herbivores, the stomachs of carnivors and omnivors produces
hydrochloric acid, designed to breakdown and digest animal protein. If you are very sick, the high living
enzyme content of a plant based diet, and the cleansing function of vegetables with their high fiber content
is very beneficial to the body. But a permanent diet should contain moderate amounts of quality animal products.
The key word is Quality. That means, wild fish, not farmed, grass fed beef, not
antibiotic laced alfalfa fed beef, free range organic eggs and poultry, not caged and injected poultry, and organic and preferably
raw milk dairy products, not steroid hormone pasteurized dairy products.
Wait a minute. Wasn't the pasteurization of milk implemented to protect us from sickness and disease?
